How to Install / Install TWRP Recovery and ROOT Mi 6 (Sagit) 

TWRP  (Team Win Recovery Project)  is an  open-source software  that is useful to make it easier for android users to repair and install Android OS that is open source .

TWRP has features that support the installation of Custom ROMs, Kernels, Add-ons, (GAPPS), and other mods. In addition, TWRP also supports the backup / restore process  from  system ,  boot ,  user data ,  cache ,  dalvik cache  to internal storage.

TWRP can also be used to transfer files via MTP , File Manager , and Terminal Emulators and many other uses.

Before installing TWRP, read this ...!

• Unlock bootloader , root , install custom ROM can eliminate  (void) your  device warranty   ;
• The guarantee can be returned if you do the   official MIUI flashing ROM again;
• We recommend that you first backup important data just in case the process fails and causes your  device  to  bootloop ;

How to Install / Install TWRP Recovery and ROOT Mi 6 (Sagit)

Before rooting and installing  TWRP Recovery , prepare the following materials first ...

Preparation before installing TWRP:

• Make sure the Mi 6 (Sagit)  battery is  in  full charged  or at least 50%;
• PC / Laptop with OS Windows 7 and above;
• Original USB cable or good quality;
• Has  activated USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking ;
• Mi 6 (Sagit) in unlock bootloader state  ;

Materials needed :

• Download ToolKITTWRP_v2.0-Sagit.zip - 22 MB  | Mediafire  | OneDrive | Google Drive  (extract on drive  C: \  or in folders without spaces) ;
• Download  no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip  - 657 KB   Mediafire  | OneDrive | Androidfilehost  (to prevent bootloop, place it on Internal Storage without extracting it) ;
• Install 15 Seconds ADB Installer  as  drivers  and  fast boot command;
• Optionally, the ROOT SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip material - 7MB (put it on Internat Storage do not extract it) , or use  Magisk  to  root  it  systemless-ly , read the  method here .

After fulfilling the requirements and downloading all the ingredients above, it's time to install TWRP on the Mi 6 (Sagit) .

Turn off the cellphone and turn it on by pressing the Power  +  Vol Down button  to enter fast boot mode as follows .

Fastboot Mode

Then connect your  Mi 6 (Sagit)  to your PC or laptop using an original USB cable or good quality.

Extract  ToolKITTWRP_v2.0-Sagit.zip  in a folder without spaces, then  right-click »Run as Administrator  in the DoubleKlikSaya.bat file  ;

... the display will appear as follows ...

Type " 1 ", then  Enter .

Follow the instructions below, installing TWRP will run automatically. If successful, a notification will appear as shown below ..

Wait a moment, your Mi 6 will enter TWRP automatically. If not, remove the cable and enter TWRP Recovery by pressing the Power  +  Vol Up button   together.

Tadaa ... !!

Now your  Mi 6  has been installed TWRP Recovery ..

After entering TWRP, select  Mount  and uncheck  "Mount system partition read-only",

... so that TWRP is not lost after  rebooting  or installing ROM.

Then you must do this ... If your smartphone can't bootloop ...!

Select  Install ;

Next, select the file number-opt-encrypt.zip in the above material;

Then swipe right on "Swipe to confirm Flash" ;

Wait for the installation process to be finished marked with "... done"notifications  .

If so, select  Reboot System .

Step ROOT Mi 6 (Sagit)

ROOT is optional, you can do it or it's not up to your needs.

If you want to root , re-enter TWRP then select Install ;

Tap the SuperSU.zip file   that you copied previously to your Internal StorageMi 6 (Sagit).

Swipe right on  "Swipe to confirm Flash" ..

Wait until the process is complete then Reboot the System .

At this stage, the TWRP installation on the  Mi 6 (Sagit)  has finished.
