EMMC CID Patcher Tool Process

EMMC CID Patcher is a Windows base tool by Knotthailand that is used for calculating the CRC-7 eMMc JEDEC.

1. CID Original:

   • Copy the original CID from the eMMC chip using your ISP (In-System Programming) tool (e.g., ISPT001).

2. New SN (Serial Number):

   • Enter a new serial number (SN) with a numeric value (0-9) as recommended.

3. Change SN CID - CRC7 Calculator:

   • Use the tool to calculate the CRC-7 value based on the new CID you are creating. This is crucial as the CRC-7 ensures data integrity and proper functionality.

4. Copy New CID:

   • Once the new CID is generated, copy it to your UFI Box.

5. Patch CID:

   • Use the Easy JTAG Plus software to patch the CID directly to the eMMC firmware. This usually involves:
     • Writing the new CID to the eMMC.
     • Ensuring that the firmware is compatible with the new CID.

6. Medusa eMMC Firmware:

   • Like the Easy JTAG process, use the Medusa software to patch the CID.
   • Make sure you create the new CID from another box first, as indicated.

7. Write Medusa PRO:

• Finally, write the new CID using the Medusa PRO tool.
