What is Lockra1n?

Lockra1n is a free, untethered iCloud bypass tool designed for iOS devices running versions 13.0 to 16.7.7. It supports all checkm8-compatible devices, offering an intuitive user interface that simplifies bypassing iCloud activation locks. Developed by Always Apple FTD, Lockra1n is exclusive to macOS and provides a reliable bypass solution; however, it does not include cellular signal functionality.

This tool activates iDevices by connecting them to a Mac computer, running bypass scripts, and generating an activation file. Lockra1n supports iPhones ranging from the iPhone 6s to the iPhone X, as well as specific cellular-model iPads. However, newer A12+ devices and non-checkm8-compatible devices are not supported.

How to Use Lockra1n

1. Download and Extract:

   • Download the latest version of Lockra1n iCloud Bypass.
   • Extract the downloaded archive to your Desktop.

2. Fix Unidentified Developer Issue (if necessary):

   • Right-click on the Lockra1n app and select Open.
   • If the app won’t launch, open the Terminal app, and type:

     xattr -cr <drag-and-drop Lockra1n.app here>
     

     Press Enter to execute the command, then relaunch the app.

3. Prepare Lockra1n:

   • Open the app and click the Prepare Lockra1n button.

4. Connect Your Device:

   • Click Search for Device to pair your iDevice with your Mac.
   • Tap Trust on your device when prompted.

5. Register Your Device:

   • Visit the registration page to register your iPhone or iPad.

6. Generate Activation Files:

   • Click the Generate Activation Files button. Ensure registration is successful before proceeding.

7. Bypass the Device:

   • Choose between Bypass Device (Ramdisk) or Bypass Device (Normal Mode).
     • Ramdisk Mode is recommended for stability.
   • Follow the tool’s instructions to enter Recovery Mode, then DFU Mode.

8. Automatic Script Execution:

   • Lockra1n will execute scripts, inject tickets, modify the filesystem, and reboot your device.

9. Access the Home Screen:

• Once your iPhone restarts, you’ll have untethered access to the Home Screen!

Notes and Troubleshooting

• Untrusted Developer Message:
  Follow the steps above to bypass this issue using Terminal commands.

• Errors During Activation:

  • If an error like "Failed to generate tickets!" appears, do not proceed. Attempting to activate may brick your device. Restore your device if necessary before retrying.

• Re-locking the Device:

• Use the Re-Lock Device buttons to return the device to the Setup screen.
• To remove activation tickets, perform a clean restore using Finder, iTunes, or 3uTools. Avoid selecting "Update" or "Retain User Data."
