Replacing eMMC With Xiaomi Qualcomm Method
Hello friends, today I am sharing one more very useful guide for Qualcomm device users. This method is mainly used after replacing eMMC or repairing storage problems on Xiaomi phones. Many technicians face RPMB issues after changing eMMC, and because of that the phone does not boot properly on stock ROM.
This shared method can help write RPMB keys using engineering ROM. The process is mostly used by advanced users and mobile repair technicians.
Things Needed
- Clean RPMB eMMC
- Qualcomm Xiaomi device
- Engineering ROM
- ADB installed on PC
- Basic flashing knowledge
Steps For RPMB Provision
Step 1: Replace the eMMC with clean RPMB.
Step 2: Flash or write ENG ROM by any method and solder the chip properly.
Step 3: Power on the phone.
If the phone is not fully booting, then this method may not work for your device.
Step 4: Open CMD on your PC.
Step 5: Type these commands:
adb shell
qseecom_sample_client v smplap64 14 1
Now follow the same process shown in the image below.
Process Shown In The Image
- First check RPMB status
- If RPMB is not provisioned, continue process
- Select option for writing RPMB key
- Wait for provisioning complete message
- Check RPMB again
If everything goes correctly, you should see:
RPMB KEY PROVISIONED AND OK
Final Steps
After successful RPMB provision:
- Reboot device into bootloader mode
- Flash clean stock firmware
- Boot device normally
- Open engineering menu and check RPMB provision status
Important Warning
This process is only for advanced users. Wrong RPMB operation can create serious boot problems. Always test carefully before trying on customer devices.
Also remember, some Qualcomm devices may behave differently depending on chipset, storage type, or security version.
My Opinion
Honestly, this guide looks very useful for hardware repair technicians who regularly work on dead boot or storage replacement jobs. Many users replace eMMC but later get stuck because RPMB is not provisioned correctly.
