🖨️ Epson XP Series Resetter – What It Is & Why You Might Need It
If you own an Epson printer like XP-860, XP-820, XP-760, XP-720, XP-625, XP-620, or XP-520, and it suddenly stops working with a weird message saying something like:
"Ink pad is full"
or
"Service required"
Don’t panic. Your printer isn’t broken. It just thinks it’s full of waste ink — even if it’s not.
I went through this myself, and I want to explain it in the most simple way possible.
🧠 So What’s Actually Going On?
Inside your Epson printer, there’s a little sponge-like pad that collects extra ink during cleaning. Epson sets a limit — after some time, the printer says, “Enough. I’ve used too much ink. I might overflow.”
But here’s the thing — the pad is usually not really full. The printer is just playing safe. And that’s where the resetter tool comes in.
It’s a small program that tells the printer,
“Hey buddy, chill — everything’s fine. Let’s get back to printing.”
💡 What Is the Epson Resetter Tool?
It’s a tiny Windows app (usually called AdjProg.exe) that resets the ink pad counter to zero, so your printer thinks it’s fresh and good to go.
Think of it like pressing a reset button on your washing machine after it shows an error, even if everything is actually okay.

- Don’t disconnect the printer while it’s resetting.
- Don’t try using a resetter meant for a different model — it won’t work.
