If you work in mobile repairing or you regularly unlock smartphones, you must have heard the name FRT Tool by now. Many people are talking about it, especially after Tech Saft covered it in Episode 11 of their Mobile Unlocking Software series.

I watched the full review, tested the tool myself, and here is everything you should know before buying it.

Before Anything Else: A Serious Warning

The reviewer pointed out something important — and I agree 100%.

Right now, a lot of people are searching for MRT cracks.

But Here’s the Catch (Important)

FRT is not fully plug-and-play.

For many new Oppo, Vivo, and high-security devices, the tool depends on Test Point mode.

What is a Test Point?

It means you might need to:

• Open the phone
• Short the test point pins on the motherboard
• Then connect the device to the PC

This allows the phone to enter a special mode so the tool can unlock or reset it.

If you are comfortable opening phones, this is not a problem.
But if you prefer only software-level solutions, you might find this difficult.

As Tech Saft clearly said:
“Test point work karega tabhi kaam karega.”

And this is 100% true.

Should You Buy the FRT Tool?

My Simple Verdict:

If you repair phones regularly, yes — it’s worth buying.

Why?

• Affordable one-year license
• Good support for Oppo/Vivo security
• Clean interface
• Active updates
• Handles both Qualcomm & MTK

But…

If you don’t want to open phones and do test point work, this may not be the right tool for you.

Pros

• Budget-friendly license
• Simple and clean UI
• Supports modern security
• Fast updates
• Works well for Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, etc.

Cons

• Test point required for many devices
• No free lifetime version
