Requirements

A Redmi K30, K30 5G, or Poco X2 phone.
Make sure the remaining battery power is at least 65%.
A USB data cable. Use the one that comes with your phone.
A Windows-based computer. Windows 10 or 8.1 64-bit is recommended.
Download Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Drivers.
Download TWRP Recovery for Redmi K30 (by Wzsx150). Poco X2 also uses the same TWRP build as Redmi K30 (not the 5G variant).
Magisk Root package (optional). Download the latest version available.
A cup of milk tea (optional).

ROOTING POCO X2, REDMI K30/K30 5G

Steps to Flash TWRP

DISABLE WINDOWS DRIVERS SIGNATURE ENFORCEMENT

Disabling Windows Drivers Signature Enforcement allows Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Drivers to be installed correctly.

UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER

Unlocking the MIUI bootloader is mandatory. Read the full guide here. This process will reset your phone. All your data will be lost. Unlocked already? Jump to the next step.

INSTALL ADB FASTBOOT DRIVERS

Extract the Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Driver zip file (miui-ADB-Driver-Installer-v1.4.3.zip) and install it on your computer. Make sure you install it on C:\adb\.

EXTRACT TWRP PACKAGE

Extract the downloaded TWRP package (zip) file. You are free to extract it anywhere but make sure all the files are in the same folder.

ENABLE USB DEBUGGING

Enable USB Debugging on your phone through the Developer Options.

Enable Developer Options:

Settings >> System >> About phone >> Tap the Build Number several times >> congratulation you are a developer.

Enable USB Debugging:
Settings >> System >> Developer Options >> enable the “USB Debugging” option.

CONNECT THE PHONE TO A COMPUTER

Connect your phone to your computer using its USB cable. We recommend you to use USB 2.0 (black) instead of 3.0 (blue) port.

RUN THE TWRP FLASHER TOOL

Right-click the TWRP Flasher Tool then choose Run As Administrator.
