PaleRa1n Download iOS 15 – 16.4.1 JAILBREAK RELEASED! iPhones and iPads

The PaleRa1n Jailbreak has been updated with the latest version, providing jailbreak support for iOS 15.0 to iOS 16.4.1 on all pre-A12 devices. This update brings many stability fixes and improvements to the legacy version of PaleRa1n jailbreak and checkra1n, including iOS 16.4.1 support.

For those who are new to jailbreaking, it's a process that added removing the software protection bypass by Apple on their devices, allowing users to install apps, tweaks, and themes that are not available on the App Store. PaleRa1n is a fully functional jailbreak utility that allows you to install tweaks and themes from the Sileo package manager. You may also choose to install Zebra or Installer 5 package manager if you wish, but Cydia package manager isn’t available because it’s completely broken on iOS 15 and iOS 16.

The PaleRa1n team has rewritten the loader in this beta release, which will help fix any issues that come around in the later beta versions. Additionally, it's now possible to jailbreak the device in fakefs-rootful mode, where / is writable, as well as rootless mode, where / cannot be written to. The passcode, yet, is useless on A11 devices including the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. Moreover, on iOS 15, the passcode must be off while jailbroken, and on iOS 16, the passcode must be off since restore, and "Reset All Contents and Settings" from settings app counts as a restore.

One of the significant changes in this update is the support for iOS 16.4 - 16.4.1, along with BindFS 16.0+ support. The loader app is now 90% less in size (290kb), and the loader has been fully rewritten in UIKit, with some localisations for Chinese and Japanese. It creates a randomized string jb-XXXXXXXX that would contain the procursus folder, similar to Dopamine. A lot of debugging info is provided along with a download progress bar, and there's an option to hide environment for jailbreak detection (on rootless). The bootstraps have also been updated.

For existing rootless installs, your procursus folder will now include having a randomized string. The missing /var/jb symlink will be moved when jailbreaking rootless, and cfprefsd hook is provided for rootless. Creating FakeFS/BindFS will be more noticeable for the user, and the CLI changes include update credits.

If some known issues are still face in this version. If stuck at booting pongoOS or found Pongo USB mode device, users need to Ctrl+C, type exit, then retry, and not reboot the device. This happens on A9 and older devices. They can also try remove device from pc and again reconnect the device if it still doesn't work. ( Rootful ) Make sure to create fakeFS/bindFS before jailbreaking with rootful, or else they will also be stuck on the pongoOS screen. Moreover, using libhooker-oss will kill launchd.
